ITU Member ELEKS, a software development and consulting company, has received HITRUST certification for its processes and solutions, including the Compliance Automation Platform (eCAP). This certification confirms ELEKS’ commitment to protecting sensitive healthcare data and its ability to develop solutions that meet the highest security standards.
HITRUST e1 certification confirms that the company adheres to high quality and security standards. It guarantees the reliability of services for the healthcare sector, in particular for clients in the United States.
During the audit conducted in the second half of 2024, Eleks Holding in Estonia, including the US subsidiary, was assessed against 44 key security indicators. The audit confirmed that the established security processes at ELEKS meet the requirements and recommendations of the HITrust CSF.
The HITrust certification is an important achievement for ELEKS and supports the further expansion of ELEKS’ business in the U.S., and in particular the growth of healthcare projects managed by the development office in Chicago, the USA.
The certification ensures that ELEKS provides its customers with the highest level of confidential data protection in accordance with strict security, privacy and compliance requirements. By obtaining the HITRUST certification, ELEKS provides its customers with increased value, which includes:
- Building trust and confidence among clients in the healthcare industry;
- Supporting clients in developing HITrust certification-ready solutions and processing healthcare data;
- Demonstrating the ability to meet the most stringent requirements for customers in highly regulated industries;
- Providing the ELEKS Compliance Automation Platform (eCAP) to customers working with medical data.
The e1 assessment is one of three phased HITRUST assessments that use the HITRUST Cybersecurity Framework (HITRUST CSF) to implement adaptive cybersecurity measures. They are selected according to the level of security assurance required.
Thoropass was chosen to obtain the HITRUST certification, offering a full cycle of HITRUST assessment and certification. Through automation, expert support and working with a HITRUST authorised assessor, Thoropass helps to simplify the certification process.
