Ukraine has launched Brave1 Dataroom, a secure environment designed to train and test artificial intelligence models using real-world battlefield data. The initiative is implemented by Brave1 in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Defence Intelligence Research Institute, and U.S. technology company Palantir.
The initial focus of Brave1 Dataroom is the development of autonomous technologies for detecting and intercepting aerial threats, including Shahed-type drones. The environment already contains curated collections of visual and thermal datasets of aerial targets, with the data library expected to expand over time.
Ukraine’s Minister of Defence Mykhailo Fedorov stated that artificial intelligence is becoming a decisive factor in modern warfare and emphasized that the partnership with Palantir enables the creation of a technological foundation for AI-powered solutions with direct battlefield relevance.

Brave1 Dataroom is built on Palantir’s software platforms. Access is provided to Ukrainian defence technology developers after completing security clearance procedures. In the future, the Dataroom may also serve as a channel for sharing battlefield-tested algorithms with Ukraine’s allies.
According to Louis Mosley, Executive Vice President for the UK and Europe at Palantir, the initiative provides Ukrainian engineers with access to advanced military software and unique wartime data, enabling the development of a new generation of algorithm-driven defence technologies.
The launch of Brave1 Dataroom marks a structural shift in Ukraine’s defence innovation ecosystem — from isolated experimentation toward a shared, secure data infrastructure where AI development is directly grounded in combat-validated information.
This approach is designed to accelerate development cycles, improve interoperability across defence tech teams, and create conditions for scaling proven solutions beyond Ukraine in cooperation with international partners.
Ukrainian defence technology companies are invited to apply for access to Brave1 Dataroom through the official application process.
