Ukrainian startup M-Fly, part of the Brave1 defense tech cluster, has secured $1.4 million in funding to scale a critical innovation for battlefield intelligence: a high-precision gimbal for reconnaissance drones.
This stabilizer delivers clear, steady imagery even at high speeds or in harsh weather — enabling uninterrupted visibility in combat conditions. Already installed on Ukrainian military drones, it’s helping commanders plan operations, make rapid decisions, and protect lives.
The innovation fills a long-standing technological gap: dozens of manufacturers lacked a stabilizer that could maintain video quality under real combat stress. M-Fly’s solution met that need, and with support from Brave1, attracted international investment. The company is now preparing a second, larger funding round.
As Ukraine strengthens its defense capabilities with homegrown technology, this case shows how local innovation, backed by international partners, is saving lives and transforming the battlefield.
Brave1 continues to unlock the potential of Ukraine’s defense tech sector — advancing scalable, tested solutions for modern warfare.
