May 2025, Kyiv — The groundbreaking Ukrainian documentary-immersive fundraising project «Arina’s Story», created in collaboration with UNITED24 and Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation, with the support of Microsoft, has been honored with a coveted FWA award — one of the most prestigious recognitions in global digital creativity.

Since 2000, the FWA (Favourite Website Awards) jury — comprising 500 top design, technology, and creative professionals from 35 countries — selects a single project each day, celebrating only the most innovative, daring, and trend-setting digital experiences. Past winners include world-renowned brands like Nike, Google, Gucci, and BVLGARI, with Microsoft having earned the accolade 12 times.

This year’s shortlist features titans such as Gucci and Volvo. Now, standing alongside them is «Arina’s Story» — a powerful testament to Ukrainian creativity and resilience.

What is «Arina’s Story»?

«Arina’s Story» is a heartfelt documentary-immersive experience designed to raise funds for rebuilding schools destroyed by Russian aggression and constructing shelters so children can learn, play, and dream safely. Conceived and executed in wartime Ukraine, the project places a personal, human face on the war — through the eyes of Arina, a child whose aspirations transcend adversity.

The FWA honor is not just recognition — it’s global validation of the project’s creative and social impact, putting Ukraine’s digital innovators on par with leading global brands.

A detailed overview of the «Arina’s Story» project at the time of its launch, including its concept, objectives, and partners, is available in a previously published article.
