The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, in partnership with SkyFall Academy and educational institutions across the country, has launched the All-Ukrainian Student FPV Drone Racing League — an initiative that merges learning with hands-on drone tech experience.
The first national competition took place under the Student Technology League, bringing together teams from higher and vocational education institutions across all regions of Ukraine.

The League aims to build a sustainable platform for developing military tech (miltech) competencies among students and to strengthen the connection between education and modern defense technologies. It also seeks to foster a nationwide community of educators and trainers able to prepare specialists in high-tech and engineering fields.
The FPV Student League promotes achievements in Ukrainian engineering and helps prepare youth for the miltech-driven economy. The Ministry supports initiatives that build practical skills vital for national defense and recovery. We see strong potential to scale the League and make it a recurring event
During the event, students piloted 7-inch waterproof FPV drones through custom-built obstacle courses that tested both technical precision and quick decision-making. The judging panel included experts and FPV instructors with real battlefield experience.
Winners included a team from Khmelnytskyi Polytechnic College and students from leading technical and classical universities. Future stages of the League will expand geographic reach and involve more institutions.
