Diia.Education Wins Bronze at Learning Technologies Awards 2025

Diia.Education, Ukraine’s national digital skills platform, has won a bronze award at the Learning Technologies Awards 2025 in the category Best Use of Blended Learning — Public & Non-Profit Sector. This prestigious European award recognizes the most impactful education and training technologies in the world.

The platform was praised for its scalable, accessible and socially driven approach to blended learning — combining digital tools, physical infrastructure, and inclusive design to strengthen national resilience through education.

Diia.Education has built a robust blended learning ecosystem:

• An online platform with approximately 3 million registered learners and 710 educational products across 7 formats. Content includes subtitles, Ukrainian Sign Language, alternative text, and accessibility settings. 75% of learners successfully complete their courses.

• 5,000 offline Digital Education Hubs across Ukraine — from libraries to schools, universities, tech companies, and public institutions. In just three years, nearly 40,000 people have trained at these hubs, including 2,500 local coordinators helping their communities gain digital literacy.

• IT Studios for schools — a modern informatics module implemented in over 35% of Ukrainian schools. Post-pilot surveys showed 95% of teachers would recommend it, and many use it as a near-complete replacement for textbooks in remote settings.

This international award reaffirms the competitiveness of Ukraine’s public EdTech on a global level and complements national data: as of 2025, Diia.Education is the most recognized digital learning platform in Ukraine — known by 48% of adults, 45% of teenagers, 32% of people with hearing impairments and 82% with visual impairments.

The platform’s next steps include launching AI-powered learning tools, expanding the IT Studios module, and introducing an upgraded dashboard for hub coordinators.

Strategic partner of the Diia.Education platform is the Swiss‑Ukrainian EGAP Program implemented by East Europe Foundation. The platform was updated in 2023 on the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation with support from Google.org. Training for coordinators and users of Digital Education Hub libraries is carried out on the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation in cooperation with the Ukrainian Library Association (ULA) within the “Diia Support Project,” implemented by UNDP in Ukraine with funding from Sweden.
