Diia

Diia is a brand that unites a mobile app providing access to digital citizen documents and public services with a unified online portal offering government services for individuals and businesses.

Thanks to Diia, Ukraine became the first country in the world to introduce official digital passports and the fastest in business registration, allowing entrepreneurs to register as sole proprietors (FOPs) online in minutes.

Through Diia, Ukrainians can support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, buy war bonds, report damaged property, apply for housing repair compensation under the eVidnovlennia program, order residence and criminal record certificates, apply for a driver’s license replacement, get married, and register or close a sole proprietorship.

Diia responds quickly to the challenges facing Ukraine:

• The COVID-19 pandemic started when we launched COVID-19 vaccination certificates in Diia, which were officially recognized in the European Union.
• The war broke out, and people began to leave the war zone en masse without money and documents — we launched a digital eDocument in Diia and the ability to apply for IDP benefits in a few clicks
• People need to rebuild their homes that were destroyed during the war. We have launched the eRecovery service.

Almost every service launched in Diia addresses a specific problem people face, making interaction with the government as simple as a few clicks on a smartphone.

With the start of the full-scale war, the Ministry of Digital Transformation focused on creating essential services. Diia introduced over 100 new services in the app and on the portal during this time. Diia is more than just an app—it’s a new level of interaction between the government and citizens, where everything operates on a digital-first principle.
